Two consecutive years of excellence
Winning the highest honor for the second consecutive year β a testament to dedication, rhythm, and the power of language. This victory cemented my place as a back-to-back champion in one of Macao's most prestigious linguistic competitions.
The journey began with a love for the rhythm of words β how poetry connects cultures and bridges hearts across borders. This first victory opened the door to understanding that language is not just communication, it's art.
How reciting poetry helps me connect with the cultures I visit
Every country I visit has its own music β not just the kind you hear with your ears, but the rhythm of its language. When I recite poetry in English, I'm not just speaking words. I'm carrying the cadence of Shakespeare, the power of Maya Angelou, and the gentle flow of Robert Frost to every corner of the world I've explored.
Winning the 1st Level Prize twice wasn't just about memorizing lines. It was about understanding the soul behind the words. In China, I learned how tones shape meaning. In Portugal, I discovered how passion flows through verse. In Germany, I found precision in every syllable. And in Macao, where East meets West, I learned that the best poetry speaks to everyone, everywhere.
